Dress Codes
  • Children's Classes - Children may wear a black
    leotard of any style (NO attached skirt), pink tights, and
    pink ballet slippers. Hair must be pulled back and secured
    away from face in braid, bun, or ponytail

  • Ballet - All Levels - Dancers may wear a black leotard
    of any style (NO attached skirt), pink tights, and pink
    ballet slippers. Skirts are not permitted EXCEPT in Adult
    Open Ballet. Hair must be pulled away from face and
    secured in a bun or clip. No ponytails or loose up-dos are
    permitted.

  • Jazz and Lyrical - Dancers may wear any color leotard,
    tights, fitted dance or camisole top, unitard, jazz pants, or
    jazz shorts. Tights MUST be worn under shorts. Suggested
    footwear include any full or split-sole black jazz oxford or
    jazz sneaker. Lyrical sandals may be worn for Lyrical. Hair
    must be pulled back and secured away from face in a
    ponytail, braid, or bun.

  • Tap - Attire and hairstyles listed as appropriate for
    Jazz may be worn in Tap classes.* High or low-
    heeled tap shoes are permitted according to
    preference. Flat black tap shoes are suggested for
    children enrolled in tap, until they enter their teens. If
    purchasing high-heeled tap shoes, 1 1/2 inch tan
    leather are suggested.
                     *ONLY Adult Tap classes are permitted to wear T-shirts.

  • Hip Hop - Attire and hairstyles listed as appropriate
    for Jazz may be worn in Hip Hop classes. Any Jazz
    sneaker or athletic sneaker may be worn.
Dress Codes are strictly enforced in all classes.  Students improperly attired will be asked to sit out of
class. Your body must be visible to enable quality instruction, placement correction, and helps
Regency Dance Academy maintain it's professional standard.
