HOMESCHOOL/DAY PROGRAM

Designed for those who wish to make dance part of their education curriculum or children who are able to take class during daytime hours. We offer classes in traditional dance such as Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop and also classes that explore the more creative side with our Musical Theatre, Dance Technique, and Dance Lab classes. Dance Technique focuses on the structure, alignment, strength, and control of dancing using a fusion of dance disciplines, including ballet, modern contemporary, and Pan-African diasporas. Students will become adept at the execution of the dance moves, while learning the basic elements of dance through practice and repetition. Dance Lab focuses on the development and presentation of dances through collaboration, interpretation, and problem solving. It's an exploration of how dance connects us to each other and the world around us. As an integrated learning experience, students will create dances with meaning, both individually and as a group. Each session runs for 12 weeks and will present an informal, in studio showcase at the end of each session. There is no costume fee for this program.
